* Birth Park Tree Planting Applications ~ The Streetscape Committee will be planting trees to recognize those children born in 2009 to families living within the Town of Chestermere.
Chestermere Country Fair – September 19, 20, 2009
The Chestermere Country Fair is the oldest ongoing annual event in our community. This event features agricultural displays and events, a red ribbon contest for baking, pickling and flower displays, wine and beer competitions, art displays, a farmers market, parade, gymkhana, petting zoos, vendor displays and more. Organizational Meeting
At this meeting, held in the fall of each year, Town Council appoints Volunteer members to the various Boards and Committees of the Town.
Budget Meetings
Budget meetings are generally held the last quarter of every year and are open to the public.
Light Up Chestermere – December 2009
During the month of December, each residential street in the Town of Chestermere will compete with the others for the most “Lit Up” residential street.
The three Commercial areas in the Town of Chestermere (Town Square, Chestermere Station and Chestermere Plaza) will compete with each other for the most “Lit Up” Commercial area.

Chestermere’s Winter Festival – February, 2010
This fun free family event is held every winter. Winter Fest features sleigh rides, ice fishing, polar bear dip, hot toddy huts & more. Inside the Rec Centre are booths highlighting artisans and craftsman, kids play zone, Wii Winter Sports, family gingerbread displays and entertainers. A free pancake breakfast which is sponsored by a local business begins the Winter Festival and is the kick-off for the ice fishing derby which has been of continuing interest to participants from far and wide. Come out to Winter Fest! Bring the kids and the relatives out for a Flurry of Fun for everyone!
Country Connections Spring Festival, May tba, 2010
Celebrate spring in Chestermere at the Country Connections Spring Festival. Activities include a KidZone, a rabbit show, a quilters guild show & sale, a best dressed pet contest, community garage sales, dunk tank fund raising, musical entertainment, an antique & new tractor display, a business expo, beer gardens, a slo-pitch tournament and a country supper and dance! Seniors Tea Party, June, 2010
The Town hosts this afternoon event every June in order to celebrate the seniors in our community. Seniors are invited to enjoy refreshments, win prizes, play games and visit with the Mayor and Council as well as each other. Contact Nancie for further information 403-207-7051.
Census 2010
A municipal census is conducted every year. Due to our extreme growth, the Town of Chestermere conducts a yearly census as these figures are used to calculate provincial grants for the Town and Community Services. This year’s census will take place in June. Census takers will be wearing visible Town of Chestermere identification.
Canada Day Celebration, July 1, 2010

Chestermere Water Festival – July 25, 2009
The Chestermere Water Festival is an annual community event celebrating summer on the lake. This year the festival was be held on Saturday, July 25th at John Peake Park and Anniversary Park in Chestermere.
